First off, I chose Al Bundy for my avatar. Al Bundy was portrayed as a man who understood many Red Pill principles. He was masculine and would not let his wife or kids run over him. Most importantly, he was a faithful man who loved his wife and kids, despite his jokes. You will have to forgive me in my upcoming video series for referencing pop culture from 25-40 years ago, but I do not know of any realistic masculine characters this side of 2000. Besides, I haven't watched TV regularly since 1999. While I would rather be the father figure in "Leave It To Beaver", modern society has passed that bygone era.
I am a 46 year old married father of six. My wife of 17 years and I get along very well. I grew up in a secular home with two good parents. At 23, I joined the LDS (Latter Day Saint) church and 5 years later, married a good LDS woman. As such, I have experienced the dating world both inside and outside of the church. We started having children right away, even having our first before I graduated in Civil Engineering.
The reason I am writing this blog is I see the modern world and I want to do what I can to help improve society. About seven years ago when I was a father of 5, I came across the "Red Pill" material on the internet, which offered a new insight to what I saw in the world. I do not ascribe to all the tenets of the Red Pill. I am not a MGTOW, nor a PickUp Artist, but I do see there are many things in their line of thinking that are not only useful in their line of thinking for my situation as a husband and father, but would be downright necessary if my situation were different.
As a married man, I see there are things we can do to help improve our situation. Society as it stands has in effect communized the battle between the sexes. What was traditionally an individual agreement between men and women of exchange of protection, leadership, and resources for domestic duties, children, and nurturing now has the government so involved in such matters that many men feel like they are in a no win situation if the marriage falls apart. Consequently, many women are avoided for relationships and end up alone. My hope is to take solutions from what I see around me to help both men and women.
